What went wrong in your Sim’s story?

These are the problems LIFE ATLAS is designed to inspect. Select the closest one, then open the editor or the detailed guide.

♡

Only one spouse got the milestone

The relationship says “Spouse”, but the wedding appears in only one Sim’s milestone history.

Milestone has the wrong partner

A romantic event lists the wrong Sim — sometimes even its own owner.

Repeated or missing milestones

Two “Fell in Love” entries or a disappeared relationship milestone? Review every occurrence.

Browse full history →

Compare both spouses’ milestone histories first. The event may exist for one Sim only. Set the milestone owner and the actual other Sim independently.

3 SIMPLE STEPS

Edit the milestone, not your entire save

Works with supported PC/Mac Sims 4 save files. Always keep your original save as a backup.

01

Choose your .save file

Find it in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves. Open it in your browser; it is not uploaded to a server.

02

Pick your Sim and partner

Review milestones, individual event occurrences, partner links and in-game timestamps. Use another save as a donor if needed.

03

Download a new save slot

Export the edited file separately. Test it in-game and keep the original untouched in case the format is unsupported.

WHY THIS HAPPENS

Married in relationships. Missing in milestones.

A wedding relationship and a completed life milestone are separate pieces of Sims 4 save data. One can be present while the other is missing or linked incorrectly.

What LIFE ATLAS checks
  • ✓Individual milestone event records — not just a completed flag
  • ✓Milestone owner and linked partner as separate IDs
  • ✓Repeated events and the game’s stored timestamps
  • ✓Previous save versions as possible recovery sources

A repaired file is experimental and must be verified in-game.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Before you edit your save

How do I fix a missing Got Married milestone in The Sims 4?

Compare both Sims’ histories, select the affected Sim and choose the actual spouse as the event participant. If the completed event exists in another save or for the other spouse, you may use it as a donor. Read the step-by-step guide →

Where is the Sims 4 save folder?

Typically Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves (sometimes inside OneDrive on Windows). Back up the entire folder before editing and do not rename a backup while the game is open.

Do I need to install a mod or upload my save to a server?

No. This editor is a browser-based tool. Save parsing and editing happen on your device. It does not modify your game installation. JavaScript is required.

Can it restore every milestone automatically?

No. Restoring a missing completed event may require a real completed example from the current save or another backup. Unknown or ambiguous event structures should not be invented automatically.

Does reordering milestone timestamps change the in-game display order?

It changes stored timestamps, but the game may also group events by life stage or category. Display order must be checked in-game.
